Sometimes the Best Gear is the Simplest

With all the gear out there these days, it’s tough to tell which is the best. Especially when certain sites are telling you to spend exorbitant amounts on gear like they’re getting paid for it or something. Weird…

Anyway, a lot of times the simplest gear is the best, and not even “gear” at all really. Enter the Ziploc bag. An often overlooked and underappreciated tool, which I guess it is. It’s versatile, durable, and cheap as all Hell when you consider alternatives.

Perfect for the Pacific Northwest as well, except for this summer (damn you 100+ degree heat!). I think it’s right up there with duct tape in terms of how much you can do with it and how much it costs.
